Does the team make prospective draft choices fill out a player/family medical history form? If so then one would think it is logical that Patrick would have let teams know the family as well as at least his history. Unless he lied and I would be shocked if a prospective player did that as it could come back to haunt him at some point.

They do take personal/family medical histories, but I don't know whether the player himself fills out the forms. I also don't know if Patrick provided the info on personal/family past history with migraines prior to the 2017 Draft or it that only came out when the doctors were trying to assess him last summer. It was Dr. Jeffrey Kutcher who made the chronic migraine disorder diagnosis last year.

So is Dr. Jeffrey Kutcher a liar or perhaps a Russian asset?

Bill Iā€™m assuming you looked into the good doctors diagnosis. Can you explain to the simple minded that if team does medical research this common diagnosis nopa has wouldā€™ve certainly been reported already if he dealt with childhood migraines. Chronic migraine disorder simply means you are experiencing migraines for a certain period of time per month or over usually a 3 month period. So someone with trauma to the head who is experiencing migraines frequently like A hockey player when concussed would most certainly almost always be diagnosed with chronic migraine disorder. Usually they would say from concussion related.

Oh I love it. I just don't understand why Patrick and the team didn't consult our resident youtube doc on here? I mean he's had a migraine before.

Chronic migraine disorder with irreconcilable stomach epilepsy to be precise. That means migraines that lead to vomiting often. Iā€™m no doctor but yeah with this lifelong condition it would make me an very qualified in the symptoms and causes. I know the triggers. From dealing with them lifelong. And there no way if you have these type conditions itā€™s not dealt with. Itā€™s like saying you have extremely bad asthma since childhood and never seeing a doctor and getting an inhaler. If nopa symptoms so bad he canā€™t play hockey for 18 months surely heā€™d have dealt with that before. Oh wait unless he had a trauma like a concussion and thatā€™s when the problem started. You donā€™t need to be a doctor to come to a extremely logical conclusion

The Flyers lead 4-0 in the third period before Alex Tanguay and Milan Hejduk score twice apiece to force overtime.

If memory serves, in 1999 it was pretty difficult to blow a four goal third period lead.

So people hate Lindros refusing to play for Quebec when he was drafted by them but over look Blake Wheeler who refused to play for Phoenix?

I support SMS coming on and informing ME as to what NOPA may be facing and has suffered from.
Having dealt with medical issues as a non-medical professional (veterans' claims), when you need to gain insight you go to the library, you talk to the pros. You then formulate how to proceed to accomplish your purposes.
This can be non-personal and tightly focused but you retain the ability to sort through the information, if you have the capacity.
Deriding and disparaging ANYONE for giving you non-contestable information means you are failing to learn.
Screw those nay sayers, SMS, continue to speak truth to these barbarians.
Knowledge is the gate and those dolts will never successfully assault that.
WHich is why they tell you to hit the bricks.
STAY.

There's nothing wrong in sharing his personal health experiences.

But just because he shares a similar experience with a pro hockey player to reach a conclusion that the team is nefariously fabricating something to serve as an ulterior motive without any definitive proof of it, that's completely ludicrous.

agree. i'm fine with him sharing his personal experiences with migraines, but they are just that, his personal experiences. he's not in the position to be telling anyone what Patrick is going through, or whether or not he will be playing again. he just makes himself sound dumb.

his clarification in hoping Patrick excels in the last blog was especially hilarious. this guy is a complete clown.

I think you were on stronger ground when you argued that the absence of an article pre-NoPa's current ailment that talked about his history of migraines increases the probability that they were non-existent.

They don't prove it (HIPAA, migraines were non-consequential, story was just considered irrelevant could all be factors thate xplains the absence), but of course they increase the likelihood of it being true.

No one is more focused on an ailment than the one suffering from it. SMS didn't just provide his personal testimony he gave legitimate support to his conclusion.
Would you have just make up stuff? Have you experienced what he has, have you researched as deeply?
Unlikely.
